Great Hardtail eMTB from Scott
The Scott Aspect E-Ride 920 is a lovely looking machine in either bright orange or black.
Scott have a great heritage in both road bikes and mountain bikes. They have also been making electric bikes for longer than many other brands. The Aspect E-Ride 920 is a high-spec offering from Scott, but represents really good value for money.
The Bosch PowerTube battery has been around for a couple of years now. On this model it’s the largest 625Wh version. The battery is easy to remove and insert, popping out of the frame when unlocked.
Bosch PerformanceLine CX
The Scott Aspect E-Ride 920 has the latest incarnation of the excellent Bosch PerformanceLine CX motor. Following a firmware update, this top of the range Bosch motor now has 85 Newton Metres of torque in Turbo. The Bosch system has 4 levels of assistance – from Eco (50% assistance) up to 340%. The Bosch motor has the following advantages over other motors in its class:
- Proven reliability – demonstrated by the huge numbers of brands that have adopted it.
- A smooth assistance. You will not lurch off, but if power is what you want then there is plenty
- Consistency – some of the other motors may get to the same power output but they have problems maintaining this.
Suspension comes in the shape of SR Suntour XCM34 Coil forks – 120mm travel with 15x110mm quick release axle. They have a remote lockout on the handlebars for when you don’t want any compression. You get SRAM Eagle SX 12 speed gears, with a cassette of 11-50 teeth, ensuring you’ll always find the right gear whatever terrain you’re covering.
The Shimano Hydraulic disc brakes provide safe, predictable and powerful stopping ability, with 180mm rotors front and rear.
The rims are tubeless ready Syncros with Shimano hubs and stainless black spokes. Tyres are 29″ Kenda Booster – 2.6″ wide.
This is a bike you’ll instantly admire and then grow to love. Scott make some of the best hardtails on the market and this one is hard to beat for spec, looks and price. Supply is limited from Scott at the moment, so we’d definitely recommend you come a try this one while we have it.
