Great New Hardtail eMTB from Scott
The Scott Aspect E-Ride 930 is a lovely looking machine. The first one we had in the shop only stayed about 2 days before it left with a very happy new owner.
Scott have a great heritage in both road bikes and mountain bikes. They have also been making electric bikes for longer than many other brands. The Aspect E-Ride 930 is a mid-range offering from Scott, but with no compromise on looks and quality.
The Bosch PowerTube has been around for a couple of years now. It weighs in at just 2.8kg and is one of the lightest batteries on the market, further reducing its impact on the overall feel of the bike. Despite its modest design, it still packs impressive capacity – the 500Wh on offer should be more than enough to power you through even the most demanding of rides. The battery is easy to remove and insert, popping out of the frame when unlocked.
Bosch Performance Line
The Scott Aspect E-Ride 930 has the latest incarnation of the excellent Bosch PerformanceLine motor. This is Bosch’s 2nd most powerful and market leading motor capable of 65 Newton Metres of torque in Turbo. The Bosch system has 4 levels of assistance – from Eco (50% assistance) up to 300%. The Bosch motor has the following advantages over other motors in its class:
- Proven reliability – demonstrated by the huge numbers of brands that have adopted it.
- A smooth assistance. You will not lurch off, but if power is what you want then there is plenty
- Consistency – some of the other motors may get to the same power output but they have problems maintaining this.
The suspension is one of the areas with a high spec for this price point. On this bike it is Rockshox Judy with 110mm of travel and includes remote lock out. You get SRAM Eagle SX 12 speed gears, with a cassette of 11-50 teeth, ensuring you’ll always find the right gear whatever terrain you’re covering.
The Shimano Hydraulic disc brakes provide safe, predictable and powerful stopping ability, with 180mm rotors front and rear.
The rims are Syncros with Shimano hubs and stainless black spokes. Tyres are 29″ Kenda Booster – 2.6″ wide.
This is a bike you’ll instantly admire and then grow to love. Supply is limited from Scott at the moment, so we’d definitely recommend you come a try this one while we have it.
