Description
Scott Hybrid Cross bike with PowerTube
The Scott eRide Cross 20 Lady has a newly developed frame and is powered by a 500Wh Bosch Internal battery. With wide rims and 47c Smart Sam tires, this is a sleek, speedy and well equipped bike. This one Scott refer to as Lady, which means a lower cross bar.
Bosch PowerTube
The Bosch PowerTube is the latest development into battery integration, entirely hiding the battery within the frame of the bike. It makes for clean lines, and hence is much less obviously an electric bike. Weighing in at just 2.8kg it is one of the lightest batteries on the market, further reducing its impact on the overall feel of the bike. Despite it’s modest design, it still packs impressive capacity – the 500Wh on offer should be more than enough to power you through even the most demanding of rides. The battery is easy to remove for charging off the bike.
Bosch Active Line Plus
The main difference between the eRide Cross 20 and the eRide Cross 10, is that this bike has the Bosch Active Line Plus motor. It’s a less expensive and lighter alternative to Performance Line CX motor found in the Cross 10. The Active Line Plus delivers more assistance (torque) than the Active Line motor but retains the advantage of being light and frictionless. This is because when the motor is not being used the chainring is completely detached from the motor so you can cycle the bike as a normal bike.
Components
Suspension is provided by Suntour SF14-NEX-E25 front forks. The BR-M200 Shimano Hydraulic disc brakes provide safe, predictable and powerful stopping ability.
The Schwalbe Smart Sam 700x47c tyres give excellent grip on tracks and trails as well as being comfortable on the road. Gears are 10-speed Shimano Deore. There is also an adjustable handlebar stem that helps to get your riding position just right.
This is a very good looking bike, showing how the integrated Bosch PowerTube battery can make an e-bike look sophisticated and less like an electric bike than ever before.
We currently have this model in a Medium and a Small frame.
